In this video from JenniferCornbleet we learn to make raw food granola with almond milk. Place a nut or seed in a mason jar about halfway. Fill the rest with water. Sit over night. Drain, and you can use right away or store in your refrigerator for up to 3 days. Almond milk is a great cereal milk replacement. To make it combine almonds, water, and a couple of dates to sweeten the milk. You can use a different sweetener of your choice. You can flavor with vanilla extract as well. Blend in a blender. Now extract the milk from the mixture using a mesh bag or mesh strainer. Pour over a bowl. Secure a bag. Milk the almonds. Squeeze the bag from the top and bottom and out comes the creamy almond milk. Now she shows how to make a raw granola. You need a food processor for this. She uses a combination of soaked nuts and seeds. Soak the night before. She uses almonds, sunflower seeds, and walnuts. Add these to food processor along with some raisins to sweeten it. You can also use dried figs or dates. She uses equal parts of all the nuts and raisins. Add a pinch of salt and a dash of cinnamon. Now blend it using the food processor until it resembles a granola like consistency. You can eat right away or store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Top with fresh blueberries or banana, apples, mango. Pour almond milk on the cereal. This is great for when that sweet craving strikes.
